A hair transplant leaves scars in the donor area. FUT (strip) harvesting leaves a long, thin linear scar across the back of the scalp, while FUE leaves many small, scattered dot scars. Both can show, especially with short or closely shaved hair.
Scalp Micropigmentation places tiny, hair-follicle-like pigment points across and around the scar, recreating the appearance of hair follicles so the scarred area blends with the surrounding donor hair.
